Event Support

The Building Operations department provides a comprehensive logistical and physical support service to mostly university events, including Commencement and Graduation ceremonies. The requestor(s) needs to go through the GU-Q event team (part of FM) for their necessary and timely support. For most events, our support services include the setup of modular stage panels, tables, and chairs, as well as the installation of temporary power and wiring to support catering, sound and video needs. Installation of temporary exhibition cubicles, signage, lighting or special equipment is provided by our dedicated service providers and in-house maintenance staff. Our custodial cleaning teams also play a crucial role in all events making certain that all event areas are kept clean at all times.
